Great to meet you!

I see each person as whole and capable, and I see my role as being a guide in the healing journey. I do this by listening without judgment and always with understanding, sharing psychoeducation, helping clients make sense of their experience, and offering skills to alleviate distress.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a wellness rather than a pathologizing lens. I work holistically, honoring both mind and body, and when appropriate, the spirit as well. The tools I draw on are both cognitive and somatic, and I tailor them to each individual and each challenge—because no two people or stories are alike. My style is warm, collaborative, and flexible, with the goal of helping you feel more connected, empowered, and at ease in your life. The modalities I use the most are IFS, Somatic Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness. I also find psychotherapy, DBT, Expressive Therapy, and Spirituality to be helpful for some individuals working on certain challenges, and always through a person-centered lens (meaning each individual requires their own healing recipe and timeline).

What you can expect from me

The first session will entail you sharing your story and feeling seen, heard, and validated. Through my sharing psychoeducation with you about your suffering, you will begin to feel a bit more "normal" and begin to feel hope that you will get through this. There might be some humor exchanged to remind you of both yours and mine humanity.
