Great to meet you!

Daryl Anne Ross is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years of nursing experience, including time at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. Originally from New York, she has worked in mental health since 2008 and has spent the past 9 years as a psychiatric NP in diverse settings such as inpatient crisis units, treatment facilities, and private practice.

Daryl earned her master’s degree in nursing with honors from Florida International University in 2015. She is passionate about helping patients thrive through a collaborative approach that includes counseling, medication management, and healthy lifestyle practices.

She serves adults and children ages 11 and up, both in person and via video, and works closely with other mental health professionals to improve quality of life and reduce psychological distress. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, crocheting, and volunteering with animal charities.

My approach to therapy

I believe that a person's ability to heal and thrive begins with a trusting relationship with their healthcare provider. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized, recognizing that every person's mental health journey is unique. I work closely with my patients to understand their concerns, goals, and life circumstances before developing a treatment plan that fits their needs.

With over 28 years of nursing experience and extensive work in a variety of mental health settings, I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive counseling, education, and healthy lifestyle strategies. My goal is to empower patients and their families with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to improve their emotional well-being, build resilience, and achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic partnership. I create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your concerns, symptoms, challenges, and goals.

During the session, I will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, reviewing your mental health history, medical background, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments. Together, we'll explore what is contributing to your difficulties and identify the best path forward. By the end of the appointment, you'll have a clearer understanding of your diagnosis, treatment options, and personalized recommendations, which may include medication management, counseling support, lifestyle modifications, or additional resources. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the next steps in their care.
