Great to meet you!
I am the kind of clinician who takes the extra time not only to help you feel safe in the therapeutic space we will be constructing together, but who will also challenge you to stretch beyond your comfort zone. I work largely with individuals who have an interest in learning more about themselves and the relationships they have with others. I also have a particular specialty in helping people develop a greater sense of emotional fluency; something that in many ways has become a lost art in today’s age of communication. As an emotion-focused, process-oriented, and client-centered therapist, I strive to meet my clients where they are in all aspects of their day to day functioning before helping them see what they could become. I am also an avid college football and professional hockey fan, a devoted husband, and proud dog father to our two Siberian huskies.
I am also a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida. I received my doctoral degree from the Florida Institute of Technology and completed my internship at the University of South Florida Counseling Center. I then went on to complete my post-doctoral fellowship with the Tampa Bay Center for Relational Psychology. Prior to that, I earned master’s degrees in clinical psychology from both the University of Central Florida and the Florida Institute of Technology. I also completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida. Over my career, I have worked in college counseling centers, inpatient crisis units, substance abuse treatment centers, family counseling programs, autism treatment facilities, child assessment clinics, private practices, and community mental health centers.
If I sound like someone you could imagine being a good fit for you or a loved one, I would invite you to read more about my specialties and credentials below and then reach out to me directly to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation.
