I have been in Private Practice for over 18 years. Before opening my private practice I worked with non-profits providing counseling for adolescents, teens, adults and families. I am a Licensed mental Health Clinician/Licensed Professional Counselor providing counseling services, coaching and mental health therapy to those in need of assistance. I accept all insurances and Medicare. I graduated from Rutger's University in Psychology and received a Post Master's in Counseling Psychology from Monmouth University, Wes.t Long Branch NJ

I provide a solutions focused approach to therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Methods with clients. I use Motivational Interviewing focusing on improving motivation to change for the client. My initial Intake focuses on family history, any health or medication information that I should be aware of, and discussing the reasons for a client seeking counseling as well as focusing on client goals. I will also go over agency confidentiality and informed consent forms to assist the client with feeling comfortable during their initial visit.

I will educate the client on y personal experience, education and reasons why a chose to be a licensed mental health clinician. We with then discuss the client's reasons for coming into counseling. Discuss family history, career and livelihood, and then focus on personal goals to achieve during our counseling sessions. I will go over all agency confidentiality an informed consent forms and educate the client on my role as a professional counselor. I will allow the client to voice their questions and concerns about the counseling process.
