Great to meet you!

Getting to know me:

I am a Florida licensed Doctoral level Psychologist practicing since 1989. I also have two Masters Degrees in Psychology as well as a BA in Psychology. I am committed to helping people achieve positive change. I work with kids through seniors. I serve clients in office in Palm Beach County and virtually throughout the state of Florida. I am often humorous in my didactic style, and patients started calling me Doctor Happy, the source of my casual, but fitting nickname.

My approach to therapy

It is important for client and therapist to believe that change is possible. Too often, psychological theories or individual's belief systems suggest that old patterns and influences irrevocably limit one's thoughts, feelings, or future actions. Positive change is possible and that prior limitations need not apply today and tomorrow. I focus on cognitive factors, on examining interpersonal dynamics, and work on helping clients generate faith, creativity and tenacity about improving themselves.

What you can expect from me

Therapy would not be useful, if clients did not practice new thoughts and actions outside of meetings with the psychologist. I tend to be humorously challenging to clients. I believe that if I can exemplify a challenge or concept in a funny or striking kind of way, the concept will be more likely remembered and practiced in between sessions.
