Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm David Dapaah, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan.

I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. I work collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that support their unique goals and improve overall quality of life.

My approach is patient-centered, nonjudgmental, and culturally sensitive. I believe that successful treatment begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and open communication. I take the time to listen carefully, understand your concerns, and involve you in treatment decisions every step of the way.

Whether you are seeking help for the first time, managing a long-standing condition, or looking for a provider who will partner with you in your mental health journey, I strive to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy for adolescents and adults. My goal is to help you achieve lasting symptom relief, improved functioning, and greater emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based. I believe that every individual deserves to be heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment decisions. I take time to understand each person's unique experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals, and I work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that fit their needs and lifestyle.

I combine comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their mental health. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally sensitive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to empower patients with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to improve their overall well-being and quality of life.

What you can expect from me

For your first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we will take time to understand your concerns, symptoms, and treatment goals. During this comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, we will discuss your mental health history, current challenges, medical background, medications, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatment experiences. I will ask questions to gain a clear understanding of your needs and work collaboratively with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of your diagnosis, treatment options, and recommended next steps to support your mental health and overall well-being.
