Great to meet you!

Welcome!

My work with clients values the therapeutic relationship, authenticity, and practical solutions.

I specialize in working with adults and older adolescents, dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, grief, relationship issues, or low self esteem.

I have experience in group practice, community mental health, and private practice settings, doing psychotherapy with a wide range of clients experiencing diverse clinical concerns.

I earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin.

My approach to therapy

I work collaboratively with clients to help them understand the deeper patterns shaping their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. My approach focuses on fostering encouragement, belonging, and personal meaning. Using clients' unique life stories and early experiences, I help them to explore the meaning that drives them. I am not "the expert telling the client what's wrong." Drawing on the client's experiences and goals, we work together as partners. I help clients determine if their goals still serve them, and work with them to build new goals. My approach is warm, accepting, and encouraging.

What you can expect from me

My goals for an initial session are to put you at ease, and for me to get a better sense of who you are, what brings you into therapy, how long it has been going on, how it has affected you, and how I can help you.
