Great to meet you!

I believe that meaningful change happens in relationships—with ourselves and with others. Whether you're navigating conflict with your partner, healing after betrayal, strengthening family relationships, grieving a loss, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a place to better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and create lasting change.

For more than 14 years, I've worked with individuals, couples, families, and children to help them move beyond patterns that no longer serve them. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, and educator with a PhD and master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I bring extensive clinical training to my work. My background also includes a master's degree in Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience, which informs my understanding of how our brains, emotions, and relationships shape the way we experience the world. I use this knowledge to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs.

My approach to therapy

My approach is experiential, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe insight alone isn't always enough—lasting change often comes through new emotional experiences that help us see ourselves and our relationships differently. Together, we'll explore emotions that may have gone unnoticed or unspoken, uncover patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and develop practical ways to create healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life. With experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experiential approaches inspired by Virginia Satir and Carl Whitaker, I adapt my approach to fit you rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: you already have the strength to overcome life's challenges. My role is to partner with you—to offer guidance, support, and perspective as you deepen your understanding of yourself, recognize your resilience, and develop the confidence to move forward. My hope is that when our work together is complete, you'll leave not only with greater insight, but with the skills, resilience, and confidence to face future challenges and thrive. I believe people are often stronger than they realize, and one of the greatest rewards of therapy is helping you experience that strength for yourself.

What you can expect from me

From our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and the goals and relationships that matter most to you.

As we get to know one another, I'll work to understand your unique experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin developing an approach tailored to your needs. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions so you can feel comfortable with the therapy process.

My hope is that you leave our first session feeling understood, encouraged, and with a clear sense of how we'll partner together to create meaningful change.
