Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.) in Massachusetts. I received my doctorate from William James College in 1993 (FKA: Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) and have been practicing as a licensed psychologist for 31 years. I help adults of all ages who are struggling with crises and/or with various life-transitions (losses, career changes, phase-of-life concerns, etc.) as they strive to find comfort, new meaning and purpose in their lives.

My approach to therapy

After many years of experience in this field, I have come to believe that empathy is the most essential attribute of effective psychotherapy. With a warm and gentle approach, I work to create a trusting, therapeutic alliance in which we can not only work openly together, but also, in which I can best-understand and support your personal growth and development.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, then begin to discuss the specific challenges you are facing and hoping to address. This opening approach is intended to help you feel comfortable and at ease, and also, to allow me to begin generating a thoughtful plan for how we can work together in future sessions to enable you to achieve your therapeutic goals.
