David Keller

My name is David. I graduated from Richmont Graduate University in 2015 with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I was licensed by the state of Tennessee in 2017.

Since then, I've worked in community mental health, college counseling, and private practice.

As a queer person, I truly enjoy working with other queer people. Typical challenges I work with include queer identity, minority stress, religious deconstruction, trauma, and adjustment issues.

I believe that people get the most out of therapy when they feel free to talk about anything whether that's about the typical therapy stuff (like trauma), more mundane topics (like video games, pets, books), or spicier topics (like sex, religion, and politics).

As we talk, I'll try and offer feedback (which is obviously biased and you are free to ask me what my biases are) or suggest skills or resources that I think are helpful. You're free to take what's helpful and leave the rest behind.

The first few sessions might feel awkward as we work together to get to know each other and to answer all the questions insurance might want answered.

My ultimate goal is to provide the kind of environment where you can feel safe to try new things.

Ultimately, therapy is such a small part of your week that I hope you'll take new ideas or skills from our time together and apply them to the rest of your day/week.
