Great to meet you!

I've been providing therapy for over twenty years which includes schools, homes, community settings, outpatient and telehealth. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, and I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family systems work, Gestalt, Existential, and Solution-Focused approaches, depending on what you actually need and what is helpful. I work with many age groups, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, bipolar disorder, anger, and the kind of stress that doesn't fit neatly into a category. Sessions are virtual, so no commute — just a consistent hour to work through what's on your mind. I believe it's not always about managing the symptom(s) but also working towards understanding and discovering what our experiences are attempting to tell us or speak to us.

My approach to therapy

I'm not a passive listener. I ask questions, offer perspective, and give direct feedback when it's useful — because sitting in silence and nodding doesn't actually help people change. I integrate CBT to help you recognize and shift patterns, solution-focused techniques to identify what's already working, and family systems thinking when relationships are part of what's driving your stress. I pay attention to pace — some people need to move slowly; others are ready to get to work quickly. I'll follow your lead and let you know when I think we can push a little further. The goal is always practical progress, not indefinite processing.

What you can expect from me

Expect a real conversation, not a checklist. In our first session, I'll ask about what brought you in, what's been happening, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. I'll share a little about how I work and answer any questions you have. We won't have everything figured out by the end of the hour — that would be unusual — but you'll leave with a clearer sense of what we'll focus on and whether I'm the right fit for you. If I'm not, I'll tell you that honestly and help point you in the right direction. Most sessions are 50 plus minutes, fully virtual, and you can book directly through Headway.
