Great to meet you!

While I've had a variety of experiences, the core of my professional background is informed by the work I've done helping people face challenges such as life-threatening illness. I have over twenty years experience in oncology and hospice settings. In doing that work, I learned a great deal about helping people manage very stressful challenging experiences, including finding meaning in those challenges. I also have extensive experience in working with end-of-life and grief counseling.

My approach to therapy

Therapy can be a wonderful opportunity to make changes in your life, get support during a difficult time, work on relationships, or get to know yourself better. I offer therapy which is collaborative, active and respectful. I listen attentively, ask questions, offer observations and give feedback with warmth, empathy and a lack of judgment.

What you can expect from me

In the assessment process I will look at the issues and challenges you describe, and ask you about how you would like therapy to help you. Then I will share my impressions with you, and a therapeutic strategy that we might begin with. I believe that therapy is an evolving and collaborative process.
