Great to meet you!

Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of clinical experience helping children, teens, and families navigate challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, emotional and behavioral regulation, parenting concerns, and family stress.

For the past 25 years, I have worked at Kaiser Permanente, collaborating with pediatricians, psychiatrists, nurses, and schools to support children and families facing a wide range of developmental, behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges.

My approach is practical, evidence-based, and collaborative. I specialize in helping parents better understand the factors driving their child's behavior and in developing effective strategies that strengthen relationships, improve communication, and reduce family stress. I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), treating anxiety disorders, and have led numerous parent groups focused on ADHD, behavior management, emotional regulation, and parenting teens.

Families often tell me they appreciate my warm, down-to-earth and humorous style and my ability to translate complex psychological concepts into practical tools they can use right away. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I work to identify underlying family strengths, and patterns and help families build skills that promote long-term resilience, confidence, and success.

Whether your child is struggling with ADHD, anxiety, behavioral dysregulation (e.g. emotional outbursts and tantrums), school-related challenges, family transitions, or parent-child conflict, my goal is to provide a supportive and solution-focused environment where families feel understood, empowered, and equipped with concrete strategies for meaningful change.

I believe that parents are the most important agents of change in a child's life, and I enjoy partnering with families to help children and teens thrive at home, at school, and in their relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and family-centered. I believe parents are the most important agents of change in a child’s life, so I work closely with caregivers to better understand behavior, build on family strengths, and develop practical strategies that support lasting growth.

Treatment is tailored to each family’s unique needs and draws from evidence-based approaches, while incorporating humor and creativity to help children feel engaged, understood, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, open-minded, conversation focused on understanding your child’s strengths, challenges, and your family’s goals.

We will explore the concerns that brought you to treatment, begin to identify factors that may be contributing to the difficulties, and discuss what supports are likely to be most helpful.

My goal is for families to leave feeling heard and understood, with a clearer understanding of the challenges they are facing, practical next steps, and the start of a collaborative plan tailored to their child and family's unique needs.
