Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and life situations. I specialize in helping clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, substance abuse and addictions, low self-esteem, stress, and life transitions.

I strive to create a comfortable, relaxed, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe being open and honest about what they are experiencing. I believe therapy works best when clients feel supported rather than judged. My style is gentle, supportive, and collaborative, and I work alongside clients to help them better understand themselves and move toward positive change.

I believe lasting change comes when people reach a point where they realize their current patterns, behaviors, or situations are no longer working for them. My role is to help guide and support clients as they build healthier coping skills, perspectives, and behaviors that improve their quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused. I believe each client is unique, therefore I tailor therapy to fit the individual needs, goals, and personality of each person. I focus heavily on listening, building trust, and helping clients feel comfortable throughout the process.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and solution-focused approaches to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors while developing healthier ways of coping and responding to life’s challenges. I work with clients to build practical coping skills they can use in everyday situations and focus on making realistic, meaningful changes over time.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a relaxed, welcoming, and judgment-free environment during the first session. My primary focus initially is listening and getting to know you as a person rather than rushing into solutions. I want clients to feel comfortable sharing their experiences, concerns, and goals at their own pace.

During the first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the counseling process. Together, we will begin identifying goals and discussing approaches that may be helpful for your situation. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and supported.
