Great to meet you!

David has a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling. He is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor. He is DBT trained, EMDR trained, and IFS informed. He has a wealth of experience working with individuals with major mental disorders, typical depression/anxiety, substance use disorders, and especially trauma - developmental, acute, and/or complex.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have found, the current challenges of many clients often stem from some negative, past experience(s). Over time, the burden of past wounds weighs down one’s spirit resulting in increased vulnerability and decreased resilience; this may underpin or be reflective of burnout, overwhelm, work stress, depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship/trust issues, hypersensitivity, social avoidance, and/or a host of others.

What you can expect from our first session

Whatever your challenges, I utilize a top-down (build skills and resilience) bottom-up (therapeutically working through past issues) approach to help you find understanding, resolution, and peace. Most clients begin to feel much better very quickly; and, they typically find they can continue to feel increasingly better as they invest in their own therapeutic journey.
