Great to meet you!

I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years of experience working in the field. I am passionate about what I do and feel very fortunate to have worked with a very diverse and inspiring group of individuals, families and community providers in my time in the field. I also love hiking, biking and spending as much time as I can with my family.

My approach to therapy

I often find that many people who seek out counseling often feel intimidated or unsure of what to expect. I view my role as therapist as someone who can work collaboratively with each person, to help them recognize their strengths, encourage them to be confident that they can overcome challenges, and provide both objective insights and evidence-based skills to assist them in that process.

What you can expect from me

I am very much a firm believer in the power of the therapeutic relationship between a client and therapist as being one of the most important predictors of sucess in therapy. With that said, it is very important for me that each client feel comfortable to share with me what they hope to achieve during our time together, to have a safe place to process their feelings, as well as to provide them with concrete tools that can help them better manage current stressors.
