Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, my approach is rooted in the belief that therapy should be as human as it is healing. My path here was shaped by years of living and working within low-income communities, where I saw firsthand the systemic barriers that keep BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals from getting the care they deserve. This sparked my mission to provide truly accessible, inclusive support.

In our sessions, you’ll find a space defined by warmth, humor, and genuine collaboration. I don’t just see a set of symptoms; I see a whole person. With a background in Anthropology and Social Work, I’m dedicated to understanding the 'big picture' of your life, helping us build a meaningful partnership where you feel fully seen and accepted.I specialize in working with clients navigating Trauma, Depression, Gender-Based/Sexual/Emotional Abuse, Neurodivergence (including ADHD and ASD), Relationship Issues, Life Transitions, and Self-Esteem challenges.

My approach to therapy

In my approach to treating trauma, I prioritize earning respect and trust while building a solid therapeutic relationship with my clients. We proceed gradually and safely, exploring concerns related to their trauma background. I emphasize the importance of patience and self-compassion during trauma work, as it may unearth past mental wounds that have long been suppressed, repressed, or ignored.

Similarly, my approach to treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other concerns mirrors my trauma treatment. I focus on earning respect and trust while fostering a strong therapeutic relationship. I provide clients with a safe space to lead their therapeutic journey. As a therapist, my role is to support them in identifying unhealthy patterns that have led to their suffering or distress, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In your first appointment with me, you can expect to share your story, begin to build a relationship, and understand my therapeutic style. Therapy can be an awkward experience for many, so I go out of my way to make it as relaxed, not actively boring, and straightforward as I can.
