Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm David Ross, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in DC. My main areas of expertise are adults with substance use, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I'm great at listening, problem solving, stress-reduction techniques, and cooking. Also, I frequently have evening session availabilities.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I tend to utilize a combination of approaches, including psychodynamic, CBT, and holistic practices. Therapy is different for everyone, and I will work with you to find what works best for you and your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

A first session with me usually looks like information gathering and getting to know each other. I strive to make sure that we can find what you want or need in your life, set goals, then achieve them, so that you can accomplish at least one personal task per session. If you're REALLY nervous about your first session, we can just do some light breath work and easy conversation– It's OK to be genuinely YOU in therapy!
