Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m David Sudyka, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #1790385250). I’m passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find healing, balance, and a deeper sense of connection in their lives. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel comfortable exploring your experiences and working toward meaningful change. I take a compassionate and collaborative approach, meeting you where you are and helping you build on your strengths. I often draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR to support healing from trauma, manage anxiety, and foster personal growth and emotional well-being. Together, we’ll work toward creating the life and relationships you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate, and I aim to create a safe space where you can feel heard and supported. I work with clients to understand the root causes of their depression and anxiety and develop practical strategies to manage symptoms and improve daily functioning. Together, we focus on building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and fostering resilience so that you can feel more in control and experience greater emotional well-being. My goal is to support you in navigating challenges and creating a more balanced, fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a warm and safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without judgment. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, including any struggles with depression, anxiety, or trauma, and discuss your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, and together we’ll start looking at ways to cope and feel better. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear idea of how therapy works and a plan we can follow that fits your needs.
