Great to meet you!

I have worked with thousands - individuals, groups, and couples for twenty (20) plus years. I give and I expect open, honest effort, managed in a professional – ethical and legal manner. While traditional approaches are effective, I often, develop (collaboratively with the client) a personal approach that has unique skills/tools/techniques specific for the client. I began my career as an engineer which taught me that few problems in life are truly impossible to resolve, cope or manage.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is hope-focused, evidence-based brief therapy. We work to define the problem, then together develop an approach to resolve/cope/manage the problem.

Personal history, culture, life experiences along with core-values, spirituality are considered in an integrative approach to therapy. Yet, keeping in mind that we are each a unique individual person.

What you can expect from me

Some mental-health conditions are chronic requiring long-term work; most conditions are acute requiring brief work with persistent results. All treatment demand open, honest efforts, managed in a professional – ethical and legal manner.

Treatment techniques are integrative - using psychotherapeutic skills. I meet the client(s) where she/he is, adding other aspects of the entire person. The process is collaborative, client focused helping the client move from where one is to where one needs to be.
