Great to meet you!

My name is David Szarka, and I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of New Jersey.

I specialize in working with Professionals struggling with Substance & Alcohol abuse.

I have over 30-years combined clinical and business experience.

I have a Masters Degree from Columbia University and a Bachelors Degree from Rider University.

My approach to therapy

I understand the unique pressures that come with high-functioning careers and how easily substance use can become a way of coping. This work is deeply personal to me and that insight shapes the empathy and authenticity I bring to every session.

What you can expect from me

I hope clients can take from their sessions with me a better understanding of underlying issues related to their substance/alcohol use, and learn how to live without them. Furthermore, my goal is that they not just 'live' without them, they're lives me more meaningful and enriched then before substances negatively impacted them.
