Great to meet you!

Greetings! I have extensive experience in dual-diagnoses treatment (substance use and mental health) and have worked in outpatient settings, universities, training and supervising counselors, clinical administration, and consulting. I also designed culturally responsive treatment approaches for Hispanics in South Texas and developed trauma-informed care programming in treatment centers.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is integrated. I draw from various therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of the client in the moment. Every person has a unique set of circumstances, personality, and response to therapy. Some of the main bases of therapy I utilize are mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, person-centered, EMDR, NET, and experiential.

What you can expect from our first session

I endeavor to have a client feel heard, seen, safe, and challenged. Trust and hope are first established. From that foundation, we can move into a journey of discovery and solution. Ultimately, the goal is to develop a way of being that is more kind and wise towards oneself and the world around them.
