Great to meet you!

I earned a Master of Education in Community Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2007, and I have experience counseling college students, young adults, single parents, couples, parents, and current and former military. My background includes service as a combat medic in the U.S. Army, business management, pastoral counseling, and support group work with alcohol and substance abuse recovery, divorce recovery, grief recovery, men’s groups, marriage enrichment, and parent training.

My approach to therapy

I attempt to develop a warm and empowering relationship with clients by helping them develop identify and achieve their therapeutic and personal goals. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy I help clients identify unhealthy thinking patterns that lead to unhealthy emotions and behaviors. Collaboratively, clients and I work together to adopt healthier ways of thinking that lead to happier and more productive lives.

What you can expect from me

Typically, clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, accepted, and hopeful for positive change in their lives, Clients are generally empowered with helpful tools for accomplishing their specific goals to use between sessions and potentially for the rest of their lives.
