Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is David J. White. I have been serving as a counselor for the past 20 years. I am a compassionate, respectful Christian counselor who seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment for healing. I integrate biblical principles with evidence-based counseling practices that honor each client’s experiences and goals. I believe in a holistic approach of treating mind, body, and spirit. My aim is to listen to you, build a trusting relationship, and help my clients develop greater hope, emotional well-being, and practical skills for life’s challenges. I enjoy working with couples (pre-marital/ marital counseling), teens and those who are "adulting."

My approach to therapy

When serving each client, I use a person centered, strengths-based, holistic approach. I have over 20 years of experience using cognitive behavioral therapy, couples counseling and solution-focused techniques that mentor those who are going through life transitions (adulting). My approach seeks to help the mind, body, and spirit. I integrate evidence-based counseling methods with biblical principles, always respecting each client’s beliefs, experiences, and goals. To distill my approach down to a few words I would say compassion, care, wisdom and hope. I see counseling as a privilege.

What you can expect from me

As a Christian Counselor, I strive to provide a welcoming, safe, and compassionate environment for my clients. In the first session, you can look forward to building rapport with me and learning about the therapeutic process. We will discuss your concerns, goals, background, and expectations for therapy, while reviewing confidentiality and the counseling process. I will listen carefully, ask and answer questions, and work with you to develop a plan that supports your emotional and personal well-being in a way that respects your Christian beliefs.
