Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of experience in healthcare and advanced training in both medical and behavioral health. My background includes nursing, advanced practice, doctoral-level clinical leadership, and trauma-informed psychiatric care. I bring a calm, grounded, and compassionate presence into every session, creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and emotionally safe.

My work is rooted in understanding the whole person mind, body, life experiences, and environment. I have extensive experience working with adults across the lifespan and specialize in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, depression, ADHD, sleep disorders, and life-transition stress. I also work with high-achieving professionals, caregivers, women navigating identity shifts, and individuals seeking clarity, emotional balance, and personal empowerment.

Clients often describe my style as warm, intuitive, structured, and deeply validating while also being clinically precise and solution-focused.

This practice does not prescribe controlled substances unless proven to be clinically the only option (e.g., stimulants, benzodiazepines, or opioids). Care is focused on safe, evidence-based psychiatric treatment and long-term symptom stabilization and controlled medications will never be prescribed as a first option with this provider.

My approach to therapy

My approach is holistic, evidence-based, and collaborative. I integrate psychopharmacology with supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle assessment, emotional regulation strategies, and nervous-system-informed care. I believe treatment should never feel rushed, minimized, or transactional. Instead, it should feel intentional, personalized, and empowering.

I work from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based framework. Controlled medications are never a first option with this provider. Together, we identify patterns, triggers, core beliefs, and goals, then develop a treatment plan that aligns with your values, your life demands, and your vision for emotional wellness. I prioritize education, shared decision-making, and helping clients understand their diagnoses and treatment options so they feel confident and in control of their care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a comprehensive, compassionate intake focused on understanding you not just your symptoms. We will discuss your mental health history, current concerns, life stressors, sleep, mood, trauma exposure, medical background, and personal goals. You will have space to tell your story without interruption, judgment, or pressure.

During your sessions, you can expect:

• A clear understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms

• A preliminary diagnosis if appropriate

• A personalized treatment plan

• Discussion of therapy approaches, medication options (if indicated never controlled medications to start management of any diagnosis), and next steps

• A sense of emotional safety, clarity, and partnership in your care

Most importantly, clients leave the first session feeling seen, understood, and hopeful with a structured path forward toward healing, stability, and personal growth.
