Great to meet you!

Peace,

I am a neuropsychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Washington, D.C. I conduct neuropsychological research on quality of life and physiology. I have experience providing therapy to clients of all ages and a variety of presenting issues including autism, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, anger management, substance abuse, low self-esteem, trauma, and stress, to name a few. I offer listening ears to clients and provide a space where you can feel empowered and learn more about yourself.

My approach to therapy

My style of counseling is summed up in one word - listening. Imagine that my client is driving and I am in the passenger seat, using listening skills, questions, video games, art, philosophy, spirituality, movies, or whatever tools the client most enjoys to mirror the client. Once the client has a mirror, he/she/they can self-adjust.

I am a Black man in America. I grew up in the hood, attended Howard and NYU, learned about the psychological warfare on people across the Afrikan diaspora, and I am here to serve my community. The issues I help others with are the same issues that I have struggled with - trauma, fear, anxiety, depression, people pleasing, and grief, to name a few.

What you can expect from me

During their first session, clients can expect rapport building, questions, and some relevant self-disclosure. The first session is all about getting to know one another, why we are here, and how we'll realize that purpose.
