Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and also a Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional. Since 2015, I’ve worked with adolescents, adults, and families in various settings including residential, outpatient, community-based agencies, and via tele-health means.

Clinical focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma history, alcohol and drug addiction, addictive behaviors, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, grief/loss, and spiritual crisis.

My approach to therapy

I educate and empower clients to triumph over disabling emotions and negative experiences. Clients will be taught practical and cognitive tools to support their healing and growth. I utilize a strength-based approach characterized by empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regards.

Therapeutic interventions include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Solution-focused tools, Somatic and Culturally sensitive interventions.

What you can expect from me

Empirically-sound interventions that have proven effective for reducing distressing emotions will be introduced from the first session. Mindfulness interventions will be utilized for grounding and self-soothing of the nervous system.

Clients will leave sessions with greater self awareness, personal peace, and a sense of personal empowerment. Cognitive and practical tools for managing stressors will be provided.
