Great to meet you!
I’m Dawn Hartman, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 24 years of nursing experience across behavioral health, crisis intervention, acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and have experience caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in both telehealth and in-person settings.
Throughout my career, I have treated a wide range of mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, and mood disorders. I have specialized experience working with adolescents and adults with ADHD, as well as individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual/developmental disabilities. My background also includes crisis intervention, medication management, and collaborative care with therapists and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
I understand that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, and I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, education, and open communication. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and actively involved in their treatment journey while working toward meaningful and lasting progress.
