Great to meet you!

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and individualized. I believe effective mental health treatment begins with listening carefully and understanding each person’s unique experiences, goals, and challenges. I work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and lifestyle strategies to support overall mental wellness.

My style is calm, supportive, and solution-focused. I value clear communication and work closely with clients to monitor symptoms, adjust treatment when needed, and help them develop practical tools for managing stress, improving mood, and maintaining emotional balance. My goal is to create a safe, respectful space where individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered in their care.

With over 21 years of nursing experience, I bring clinical knowledge, compassion, and a steady, professional approach to helping adults navigate anxiety, stress, depression, and life transitions while maintaining stability in their daily lives.

Please note: In accordance with FDA regulations and current practice guidelines, this office does not prescribe controlled substances, including stimulant medications, at this time.

My approach to therapy

Clients can anticipate a supportive, informative, and collaborative experience. Dawn emphasizes clarity in discussing mental health conditions and treatment options, ensuring each client feels empowered, understood, and guided toward meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a thorough and supportive evaluation focused on understanding their concerns, history, and goals for care. We will discuss current symptoms, stressors, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, and any previous treatments or medications. This conversation helps create a clear picture of what you’re experiencing and how it may be affecting your daily life.

During the appointment, we will review treatment options and begin developing a personalized plan that may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, and lifestyle considerations. I also encourage questions so you feel informed and comfortable with the plan moving forward.

The first session is designed to establish a collaborative professional relationship, clarify goals, and ensure that you feel heard, supported, and confident about the next steps in your care.
