Great to meet you!

I'm Dawn, a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in grief, caregiver stress, chronic illness, and life's significant transitions. Whether you're grieving the death of someone you love, caring for a family member, facing a serious medical diagnosis, or navigating another profound life change, counseling offers a compassionate place to slow down, tell your story, and make room for whatever you're carrying.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for each person's unique experience. I believe there is no right way to grieve and no timeline that grief should follow. Together, we create a space where every emotion is welcome, and whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.

I have completed specialized training in Compassionate Bereavement Care through the MISS Foundation, which continues to inform my work with individuals and families through grief and loss.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another in a comfortable, supportive space. We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, the experiences that have shaped your story, and what you're hoping for.

There is no expectation to share everything during our first meeting or to have the "right words." We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My hope is that you'll leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of the path ahead.
