At Murphy Counseling & Therapy, I am dedicated to cultivating client resilience. I believe that within each individual lies the capacity for growth and healing, even amidst profound challenges. Beyond private practice, I am a full-time high school counselor and an Adjunct Professor at Kean University, where I contribute to the Graduate Counselor Education Program. Outside of my counseling work, I enjoy playing pickleball and am also a licensed pickleball instructor.
My role is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their inner resources, develop coping mechanisms, and ultimately, strengthen their ability to navigate life's inevitable stressors. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to build strong, collaborative relationships with clients and foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
I am dedicated to a solution-focused process that empowers clients to recognize their own strengths and build the resilience necessary to thrive. I am deeply committed to helping individuals discover their inherent capacity to cultivate resilience and flourish.
