Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field. My background includes child and adolescent care, adult and geriatric inpatient settings, adult partial hospitalization programs, and emergency room psychiatric holding areas, where I provide empathetic support to individuals in crisis.

I earned my Registered Nurse Diploma from Riverside School of Health Careers in 2011 and later obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Notre Dame in 2020. I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at James Madison University, graduating with honors. While dually enrolled at Shenandoah University, I earned my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification, also graduating with honors in 2023.

My extensive training and experience allow me to approach each client with understanding, patience, and compassion.

My approach to therapy

I am committed to staying current with the latest research on psychotropic medications and treatment modalities to ensure I provide evidence-based care and the most effective treatment options available. I take pride in giving my best effort each day to support those in need.

I often remind my patients that “it’s OK not to be OK,” because mental health challenges affect everyone at some point. My goal is to empower you to manage your condition through supportive education in a stigma-free environment.

I create individualized care plans that prioritize your involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I strongly believe in the connection between the mind and body and advocate for a holistic approach to promote overall well-being.

Through education, compassion, and partnership, I will support you as you navigate your mental health journey..

What you can expect from me

During your initial visit, you can expect a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, a discussion to clarify your treatment goals, and education about your diagnosis and available treatment options. I value collaboration with other skilled clinicians and am dedicated to coordinating care to best meet your unique needs.

It is truly an honor to serve those seeking support. My compassionate approach is centered on strengthening you day by day, empowering you on your mental health journey, fostering resilience, and supporting meaningful growth in your life.
