Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and developmental specialist with 15 years of experience supporting children, caregivers, and families. My background includes working as an in-home clinician in Early Intervention (EI), where I supported multicultural families in their homes and across a variety of settings, including shelters, daycares, and foster care. I worked with children with a wide range of developmental needs, including neurodivergent children, while supporting child development, family dynamics, and practical strategies to address everyday challenges.

I specialize in working with children through young adulthood (age 22).

This experience has strengthened my ability to meet each child and family where they are and provide individualized, culturally responsive support.. Today, I especially enjoy working with teenagers and young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, transitions, stress, and the growing responsibilities of adulthood. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and I strive to create a space where each client feels respected, understood, and comfortable being themselves.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, genuine, and connected to your goals. I begin by listening carefully to your experiences and learning what matters most to you. My approach combines person-centered therapy with practical, goal-focused strategies from motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, play therapy, and parent-focused therapy when appropriate. I have a strong background in sensory processing, social-emotional development, self-regulation, and co-regulation, including how supportive relationships can help us manage emotions and feel more grounded. Together, we can identify strengths, build useful skills, and work toward meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable for you.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a warm, friendly, and welcoming first session. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to get from our work together. I will make space for your feelings, listen without judgment, and help you put words to concerns that may be difficult to explain. We can begin identifying goals and practical next steps, while allowing the process to unfold naturally. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, validated, and more hopeful about moving forward. Whether you are a teen, young adult, parent, or caregiver, I will meet you with empathy, guidance, and genuine support.
