Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm Daylin Chaplin, a bilingual (English and Spanish) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, stress management, anger management, OCD, sleep disorders, women's issues, PTSD, and chronic conditions. I bring a deep understanding of cultural sensitivity and the unique challenges many individuals face.

I have been a Nurse Practitioner since 2016, beginning my career in cardiology before transitioning into addiction medicine. During my work in addiction treatment, I recognized that many individuals struggling with substance use were also facing underlying challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. This realization inspired me to further my education and pursue certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

My approach to therapy

My style is open-minded, holistic, and warm. I believe in understanding the whole person, not just their symptoms, and I'm here to help you feel supported, heard, and empowered on your journey toward healing. My approach to care is centered on understanding the whole person, not just their symptoms. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, collaboration, and compassion. I use Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build practical skills and create meaningful change.

I offer medication management and individual therapy, tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, managing a mood disorder, working through trauma, or navigating the challenges of ADHD or chronic conditions, we'll work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that helps you move toward feeling your best.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I focus on getting to know you and understanding the symptoms and challenges you are experiencing. We will discuss your concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

While medication may be discussed, it is not always prescribed during the first visit. My goal is to thoroughly evaluate your needs and work collaboratively with you to develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. You can expect a warm, open-minded conversation where you feel truly heard and understood.
