Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, or major life changes on your own. My goal is to create a space where you can feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Advanced Generalist with experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, substance use concerns, trauma, life transitions, and complex behavioral health needs. I have worked with veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people navigating complicated healthcare and social service systems.

I believe therapy should feel like a genuine partnership. You know yourself and your experiences best, and my role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, identify what is getting in the way, and develop practical tools to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and person-centered. I don’t believe therapy should feel like someone simply telling you what you need to do. Instead, I work with you to understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be affecting you, and build strategies that fit your life.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interventions to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier ways of coping.

I also recognize that progress isn’t always linear. My goal is to meet you where you are, build on your existing strengths, and help you develop skills that you can actually use outside of therapy. Whether you’re looking for support through a difficult transition, trying to manage anxiety or depression, working through relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to identify meaningful and realistic goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you would like to be different, and what you hope to get from therapy.

I’ll ask questions about your experiences, relationships, stressors, strengths, and current coping strategies so we can begin developing a fuller picture of what’s going on. You’ll also have space to ask questions and get a feel for whether my approach is a good fit for you.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first session. We can start wherever you are and work together to identify realistic goals and next steps. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
