Great to meet you!

Hello, I am De Ana Nelson, a therapist who meets clients where they are at and then helps them through art, CBT, DBT, Rogerian and many more theories and styles to create a bridge to their best life. As a therapist I believe my job is to listen objectively, allow clients to see their patterns, help them gain skills to find healing in areas that have been hurting and confused.

I began my career as a teacher for over ten years and then I went back to become a therapist. I am very teacher-oriented in that I give homework and teach skills for client to learn to overcome the areas they are seeking help in.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client centered, many clients need to begin with a timeline of their lives to find the patterns and blind spots that have continued to filtrate their lives. I like working with the subconscious though art therapy. I also like DBT which provides the skills to overcome many areas of hurt and dysfunction.

What you can expect from me

I believe that a positive regard, unconditional understanding and nonjudgmental stance helps me build a strong foundation with my clients. I feel they leave feeling heard, validated and that there is hope for better tomorrows.
