Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with 12 years of professional work experience in the mental health field. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, & family conflicts. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I come with an existentialist approach to the therapeutic room which means I am trying to help my clients find meaning in the change they seek. I believe that without finding meaning it is hard to find a direction for change.

Throughout our work, I will tailor specific therapeutic modalities that can be thought of as a hodgepodge of CBT, Narrative, DBT, EFT, RLT, and Solution Focused therapy. I have worked with all kinds of people, but the bulk of my clients are middle-aged people coming into therapy with one major issue they want to change/work on.

My approach to therapy

My style is very conversational and informal at times and challenging at other times. I will not hold back what I think but I always will leave room for my clients perspective. I am not perfect and I know how to apologize if I come across wrong.

What you can expect from me

My sessions are supposed to create an environment for change and sometimes that comes with looking at some hard truths. I am always seeking to answer the existential questions, what is motivating this change you seek.
