Great to meet you!

I am Deandra Calvin, a licensed professional counselor with a mental health specialty. I typically apply the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)framework during therapy. I strongly believe that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are interconnected and that they influence our worldview.

I primarily work with all adolescents and adult women. Anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and PTSD are conditions that I work with most often.

My approach to therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is my preferred therapeutic approach. It helps identify and solve specific problems, rather than talking about like in general. CBT allows me to take a collaborative approach with clients where we work together to find solutions as opposed to attempting to tell the client what they should do.

My communication style is mostly collaborative where information is exchanged and topics are discussed to achieve a common goal.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to work collaboratively to set therapeutic goals. We will then develop and work from a treatment plan that will aid in improving your mental and emotional well being.
