Great to meet you!

As a licensed mental health therapist and Florida board-certified exceptional education teacher, I have 20 years of experience helping children, teens, young adults, and families move through emotional, academic, and life challenges. Over the last decade, my work has focused especially on clients ages 8–25 who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, school-related challenges, life transitions, and difficulty feeling confident or understood. I believe prioritizing mental health is an important part of creating stability, happiness, and a healthier future. Seeking help can be one of the hardest first steps, and I want clients to know they do not have to figure everything out alone!

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, individualized, and supportive while also being honest and gently challenging when growth calls for it. I believe every person has a unique story and deserves care that fits their needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach. In session, we may work on identifying thoughts and patterns that fuel anxiety or depression, building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening self-confidence, exploring school or family stress, and creating realistic steps toward change. I see therapy as a partnership where clients feel respected, heard, and supported as they build insight, develop tools, and move toward goals that matter to them!

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will focus on creating a warm, welcoming, and secure environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what has been difficult lately, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. For children, teens, young adults, and families, this may include anxiety, depression, stress, school challenges, self-esteem, family concerns, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by expectations. My goal is to understand your needs, strengths, and goals so we can begin creating a clear direction for therapy and take realistic steps toward meaningful change!
