Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Sam Houston State University.

I provide trauma-informed, person-centered care and use a collaborative approach to foster trust, build resilience, and support emotional growth. My clinical work focuses on helping youth and families navigate life challenges, strengthen relationships, and develop prosocial skills. I am passionate about serving clients from diverse and historically underserved backgrounds, ensuring culturally responsive and affirming care.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am committed to mentoring counselors-in-training and promoting access to quality mental health services across communities.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach is grounded in person-centered therapy and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Sand Tray Therapy, and other trauma-informed interventions.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, meaning we work together to identify goals, explore challenges, and build on strengths. Sessions often focus on developing insight, emotional regulation skills, and healthy coping strategies.

Whether through talk therapy, trauma processing (such as EMDR), or expressive modalities like Sand Tray Therapy, I strive to help clients make sense of their experiences, strengthen their relationships, and build resilience. Each session is tailored to meet the client where they are emotionally, developmentally, and culturally to foster meaningful growth and long-term healing.
