Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! My name is Deanna Arline, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am also completing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University, where my research focuses on collaboration in supporting mental health. In addition to providing therapy, I serve as a graduate counseling instructor, allowing me to stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, life transitions, stress, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward meaningful and lasting change.

I believe that seeking therapy is a courageous first step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients throughout their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual's unique needs. I believe every person has strengths that can be built upon, even during life's most difficult seasons. Together, we will identify your goals, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies to help you move forward.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-based interventions, and psychoeducation. When appropriate, I integrate techniques that help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences.

My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and direct. I value creating a safe, culturally responsive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also being challenged to grow. Whether you're working through anxiety, healing from trauma, managing depression, navigating relationship difficulties, or adjusting to a major life transition, I am committed to meeting you where you are and helping you build the skills and confidence to create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a warm, safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and I strive to ensure you feel heard, respected, and accepted from the very first session.

During our first meeting, we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review relevant personal history, identify your strengths, and begin establishing meaningful treatment goals together. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process and discuss what you hope to achieve.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your goals, an initial plan for treatment, and confidence that we are working together toward improving your emotional well-being. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, empowered, and encouraged, knowing that meaningful change and healing are possible.
