Great to meet you!

My journey to becoming a therapist was shaped by a series of personal setbacks that challenged me in a deep and unexpected way. These experiences not only tested my resilience but also gave me a firsthand understanding of what it means to struggle, to grow, and to heal. My name is Deanna, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering telehealth sessions in Nevada, it is a profound privilege to help you establish a secure, empowering baseline for your care. With over 15 years of clinical experience, I am a seasoned professional who specializes in working with clients interested in making meaningful changes in their lives. I work collaboratively with minors, adults, couples, and families navigating complex life transitions, career changes, relationship issues, and mental health challenges. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or navigating major shifts in your goals, I am here to help you navigate your life with renewed purpose, focus, and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I believe that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance a deeply authentic human connection with practical, action-oriented strategies. I am a very solution-focused therapist, and my approach is highly integrative, beautifully combining elements of counseling and coaching to support meaningful and lasting change. By drawing from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, we will work collaboratively to explore your challenges and identify limiting patterns. In my sessions, I bring authenticity, curiosity, and a focused presence into the room, balancing deep listening with thoughtful challenges to support your growth. Together, we identify areas for growth and ignite new passions and skills, clarifying not just what you want to move away from, but what you actively want to move toward to resolve the issues in front of you.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for help takes immense courage, and my hope is that our virtual sessions serve as a quiet refuge where you can safely step away from the heavy demands of daily stress. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel completely safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals right from the start. In our first session, we will begin developing a thoughtful and focused partnership designed entirely to support your growth. We will gently explore your history and current symptoms at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to share everything all at once. Together, we will start building a sense of trust and collaboration, establishing a "team" dynamic where you leave our first hour with clear, actionable steps and a strong sense of direction for the work ahead.
