Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor based out of St. Joseph, Missouri. I also see clients virtually throughout Missouri, Arkansas, and Florida.

I see the symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression as rooted in survival and biology, not mental weakness. I combine Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the Trauma Resiliency Model, and EMDR to create an approach that can help gently resolve past hurts that are causing current trouble, so you can connect with who and what matters.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a mind-body approach that can help you move past the “I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but...” and get your head and heart back in sync.

I’m not a fan of worksheets or homework, but I do teach practical skills you can use in real life, not just during our time together. Therapy doesn’t have to feel scary or hard. It can feel like your shoulders relaxing, like noticing more room in your body for breath, like having a place where you can just be you and take some time for yourself.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients typically see me weekly, at least to start, so they can build momentum that helps them shift out of crisis mode. They often start to experience their anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms differently. They also notice changes in their relationships, how they show up in the projects they care about, and in their connections with themselves.
