Great to meet you!

When a teenager is struggling, it can be hard to know what’s behind the behavior. Maybe they're angry, shutting down, acting out, struggling at school, having trouble following through, or constantly getting into conflict at home. For parents, it can feel exhausting to have the same conversations, set the same boundaries, and still wonder what will actually help. I work with adolescents and families navigating ADHD, trauma, behavioral challenges, and difficult family dynamics, including parents and children working through reunification. My goal is to look beyond the behavior to understand what may be driving it and help families find a more productive way forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and trauma-informed. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help adolescents understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier ways to manage difficult situations. With families, we'll work on communication, trust, boundaries, and the patterns that can make it difficult to reconnect. I also understand that troubled behavior is often a form of communication, and I strive to help young people feel understood while still holding them accountable for making positive changes.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to understand what's been happening from everyone's perspective. We'll talk about the concerns bringing you to therapy, your family's history, and what you hope will be different. Whether you're a parent looking for support with a struggling teen or an adolescent who feels misunderstood by the adults around you, I want therapy to be a place where honest conversations can happen without judgment. Together, we'll identify realistic goals and begin building the skills, trust, and strategies needed to create meaningful change.
