Great to meet you!

I believe therapy is a space where you can begin exactly where you are. Some people come in with a clear sense of what they want to work on, while others arrive simply knowing that something feels off—they feel anxious, unsettled, or disconnected, and want to feel better. I value both starting points, and I work with each client to discover the path that fits them best.

I have been a counselor for over thirty years, and during that time, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families across many stages of life. My passion is helping people build healthier, more fulfilling relationships—with themselves and with others. Much of my work focuses on the evolving dynamics between parents and adult children, which can be deeply meaningful but also challenging as roles shift with age.

Clients often come to me because they’re feeling anxious, depressed, or stuck in old patterns. Many of these struggles arise when we lose connection—either with ourselves or with people in general and specifically with the people we care about. Therapy offers a space to identify the kind of connections one wants and needs, to rebuild relationships one has into healthier connections, to feel more supported, and to be more hopeful about what is possible.

My approach to therapy

My philosophy is that every human being has the capacity for growth and healing. Old habits and relational patterns may keep us stuck, but with support and self-reflection, it is possible to make lasting changes. I don’t see my role as “fixing” anyone. Instead, I view therapy as a collaborative process where I provide guidance, perspective, and encouragement while you explore your own path forward.

In our sessions, you can expect a balance of reflection (direct communication) and practical tools. We will explore the patterns that may no longer serve you, identify emotions and needs that deserve attention, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others. I emphasize improving communication, learning to set and respect boundaries, and strengthening the connections that matter most to you.

I also recognize that growth is not always linear. Some days you may feel hopeful and encouraged, and other days the work may feel heavy or uncertain. This is part of the process. Over time, the combination of insight, support, and practical tools can bring real and meaningful change.
