Great to Meet You!

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 31 years of nursing experience and more than 4 years providing psychiatric care to a diverse population in a federally qualified health center. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and my master’s degree from Maryville University of St. Louis. My extensive nursing background and experience in mental health have shaped my compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported on their mental health journey.

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I take the time to understand each client’s unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and treatment goals. I believe in creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about their care. When appropriate, I use medication management, education, and practical strategies to support overall mental health and well-being.

During our first session, we’ll take time to discuss what brings you to treatment, your current concerns, mental health history, and your goals for care. I’ll listen carefully, answer your questions, and explain treatment options in clear, understandable language. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the beginning. Together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your needs and moves you toward meaningful improvement.
