Great to meet you!

I have spent nearly 20 years working in therapy and social work, supporting individuals through some of the most difficult and meaningful seasons of their lives. Much of my career has focused on substance use treatment, where I have provided both individual and group therapy to clients working toward healing, stability, and long-term change. I also understand that growth often happens while life is still busy, complicated, and imperfect. I earned my Master’s degree while raising my family as a single mother, and that experience deepened my compassion for people who are trying to care for themselves while carrying many responsibilities. Clients can expect me to bring warmth, honesty, respect, and real-life understanding into our work together. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be open, supported enough to keep going, and empowered enough to begin making changes that feel meaningful to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand what feels difficult, identify what is keeping you stuck, and build tools that support the growth you want for yourself. Together, we will focus on what matters most to you. That may include managing substance use concerns, reducing stress, improving relationships, building healthier coping skills, or working through patterns that no longer serve you. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, not judged. Therapy with me is a place to slow down, reflect honestly, learn new skills, and take practical steps toward feeling more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, your background, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope to gain from the therapy experience. This first meeting is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a feel for whether I am the right fit for you. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard and respected from the start. By the end of the first session, we will begin identifying your goals and discussing what our work together can look like moving forward.
