My approach to therapy

As a licensed psychotherapist with extensive experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate, understand, and cope with life’s challenges. My work focuses on supporting clients as they process difficult experiences and discover pathways toward healing and resilience. I have provided therapeutic services to adults and couples facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, adjustment issues, and relationship difficulties. I assist individuals in processing traumatic or past experiences that may be affecting their current functioning.

My goal is to empower clients to help themselves through an empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic approach. I believe each individual deserves a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs and healing journey. I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to support clients in overcoming their challenges, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Family/Marital/Couples Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Therapy, and more.

I am committed to helping clients achieve greater self-love, self-respect, self-value, and confidence. Ultimately, my aim is to guide clients in navigating their difficulties so they can enhance their happiness, resilience, and overall quality of life. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them reach their goals.

What you can expect from me

Our intake session will allow me to gain a clear understanding of your reasons for seeking therapy so that I can best support your goals and needs. It also provides an opportunity for you to learn more about the therapeutic process and to determine how we can work collaboratively to help you reach your goals and enhance your overall quality of life.

In our work together, my goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable discussing whatever is on your mind. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together to better understand your experiences, emotions, and the challenges you may be facing.

During our sessions, you can expect thoughtful listening, honest feedback, and guidance as we explore patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that may be impacting your well-being. We will also work on developing practical tools and strategies to help you manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

At times, therapy may involve reflecting on past experiences to better understand how they influence your present thoughts and behaviors. Other times, our focus may be on building coping skills, setting goals, and creating meaningful change in your daily life.

Progress in therapy looks different for everyone, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable and appropriate for you. My role is to support you, challenge you when helpful, and help you develop greater insight, resilience, and self-understanding.
