I believe that we are not hostages to our past or present traumas and that overcoming the trauma comes from living life in truth, in responsibility, in gratitude, and in serving. My role as a therapist is to help clients align themselves with life’s truth and respond effectively to it and its challenges. As requested, I also provide Christian therapy.
I have been in practice for over forty years and have extensive clinical training and experience. I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage, Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific College and am licensed in California as a Marriage, Family Therapist. I have trained mental health professionals and have spoken on a variety of life issues. My experience has been in psychiatric inpatient and outpatient programs, community mental health centers, onsite schools, residential treatment facilities, and private practice. Clinical focus includes mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, family relational dynamics, conflict resolution, developmental difficulties, life transition issues, grief and loss, adult and childhood trauma, cultural awareness, and spiritual issues within the Christian framework. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, stress reduction techniques, didactic approach (educational and informative), decision-making skills, effective life skill building, and Christian therapy as requested. I offer Telehealth services only.
