Great to meet you!

If you’re looking for a therapist who will truly listen, validate your experience, and also be honest with you when you need a different perspective, you may be in the right place.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a trauma-focused approach and a genuine belief that healing happens when you feel both safe enough to be vulnerable and supported enough to grow. I work with a wide range of concerns, including women’s issues, sexual trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, sex and intimacy concerns, relationship challenges, shame, self-esteem, and major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but can’t seem to change.

My path to becoming a counselor was personal and unconventional. After raising three children and building a career in government, I went back to school and began a new chapter in mental health. Starting over taught me something I now bring into my work with clients: you are not defined by where you’ve been, and it is never too late to create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Whether you’re recovering from trauma, struggling in your relationships, questioning your identity or direction, carrying shame from your past, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can be a place to make sense of it all.

My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more understood, more empowered, and more connected to yourself—not because I have all the answers, but because we’re figuring them out together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, while my role is to help you better understand your experiences, recognize patterns, and develop the tools to create meaningful change. I lead with empathy, validation, and curiosity, while also being direct when honesty can help move the work forward. I strive to create a space where you can be open and authentic without fear of judgment.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know each other and creating a comfortable starting point for therapy. Just as you’re getting to know me, I’m getting to know you. I’ll want to learn what brings you to therapy, what’s been happening in your life, what you’re hoping will change, and what you feel is most important for me to understand about you. We’ll talk about what you need from therapy and what you’re looking for in a therapist so we can determine whether we’re a good fit.
